Free Prime for College and University Students for 6 months

Amazon Student is a membership program created especially for university, college and CEGEP students.


Amazon Student members receive six months of FREE Two-Day Shipping with Amazon Prime on eligible purchases and e-mail alerts for discounts and promotions*. Discounts and promotions will be e-mailed to your e-mail account or made available on the Amazon Student membership page at Amazon Student members will automatically continue receiving FREE Two-Day Shipping with Amazon Prime when their free period is over, at a cost of $39 a year for up to four years, with automatic renewal.

After you graduate or at the end of your fourth year of Amazon Student Prime benefits, whichever comes first, your subscription will automatically upgrade on its anniversary date into a full paid subscription for Amazon Prime (currently $79 a year).

Benefits are subject to restrictions, such as geographic limitations, as stated in our Amazon Prime Help pages. If you don’t wish to continue with paid Prime benefits you can set them to not automatically upgrade at any time during the free period.

*Resident of Quebec

Residents of Quebec aren’t eligible for a free trial of Amazon Student. However, when you sign up as a new member of Amazon Student you will receive an 18-month membership with the first 6 months at no charge. Your credit card will not be charged until your free 6 months have completed, and you may cancel at any time. Your Amazon Student membership will expire at the end of the current membership period unless you choose to renew it for another year. Residency is determined by your billing address at the time you sign up.
