How did Inca Tea start?
The story of Inca Tea began when Ryan Florio (Inca Tea Founder and TeaEO) and his friends hiked a treacherous Peruvian mountain trail with the help of their Sherpa Edgar. Edgar introduced them to an amazing Ancient Tea recipe combining boiling water, freshly cut apples and Purple Corn, which Peruvians consider a super food that fights against a host of medical conditions.. Discovered by the Incas long ago, Purple Corn is a significant source of powerful antioxidants and anthocyanins that have several healing properties, including cell regeneration, cholesterol reduction, blood flow regulation and more. The Ancient recipe resulted in an energizing and refreshing tea that aided them on their climb together. Upon Ryan’s return home to the U.S., he quit his job, cashed in his 401K, took a second mortgage out on his home and started a company called Inca Tea, the first U.S. company to use the ingredient Purple Corn. In addition to winning several awards, Inca Tea’s sales continue to climb at big-brand stores around the country and online orders continue to come in from all over the world.

This is our Original blend to characterize the true ancient Incan recipe. This is the same tea Ryan came across during his hike. It’s is an enlivening herbal, fruit tea blend of purple corn, berries and spices.
INGREDIENTS: Hibiscus Petals, Elderberries, Currants, Purple Corn, Apple Pieces, Pineapple Pieces, Cinnamon, Cloves and Natural Flavors. This is the tea that the founder Ryan came across during his hike. It’s an enlivening herbal, fruit tea blend of purple corn, berries and spices.
This is our first caffeinated blend. We wanted it to embody a refreshing yet clean taste. It’s a rejuvenating combination of white tea, lush peaches and sweet herbs.

Tawantin Black Tea
We thought long and hard about how to make a black tea as unique yet as strong as the Incan Empire and what we came up with was Tawantin Black Tea.
INGREDIENTS: Finest 3 black tea leaves (2 or which are organic) and purple corn. The Inca referred to their empire as Tawantinsuyu, four parts together. In Quechua, the term Tawantin is a group of four things (tawa, meaning four, with the suffix -ntin which names a group) This blend is a robust combination of 3 quality black tea leaves and purple corn.
Machu Picchu Mango
Mango has always been a favorite fruit of Ryan’s, so he decided to add a little twist on the original blend. It’s a refreshing blend of mango, sweet herbs, and citrus flavors.
