Review of Grace's Sweet Life Cookbook

Review of Grace’s Sweet Life Cookbook

It’s two weeks away from hosting my daughters christening and the big job of prepping the menu for an Italian family. Out comes “Grace’s Sweet Life” a cookbook full of homemade Italian desserts from cannoli, tiramisu and panna cotta to torte pizzele and struffoli. I’m no pastry chef but with this cookbook I can try to be one.

Chocolate-Caramel Tarts {Tartellette al Cioccolato e Caramello}

I received this cookbook for review before the summer and I knew exactly why I needed it. Being married to an Italian calls for creativity in the kitchen – good thing I love baking sweet dangerously delicious pastries, cakes creams and custards.  I’m planning the menu and organized the appetizers, salads, soups and entrees for the family and friends.

Grace’s sweet life cookbook offers the perfect dessert menu! In this cookbook Grace’s shares her love of good food with the recipes and stories about her Italian heritage. The book offers complected desserts accessible to the everyday home cooks – that’s me!

Just flipping through the colourful pages of mouthwatering photos of delicious desserts made me plan and bookmark the page effortlessly. I found myself saying I must try that…. Be warned this book is not for anyone on a diet!

So far I’ve tried making the Chocolate, Caramel and Hazelnut Tartlets, and the Mini Blueberry White Chocolate Cheesecakes. Need a I say more, just the name of the recipe sounds tasty.

Each recipe offers a step by step break down of how to master the recipe with tips and descriptions on each recipe.

Time to celebrate with the go to special occasion cookbook!
