Citrus Cinnamon Raisin Oatmeal

Citrus Cinnamon Raisin Oatmeal

There are so many reasons to have oatmeal for breakfast starting with the health benefits oatmeal provides. Did you know that if you start your day with oatmeal you will drastically improve the quality of your life. The main reason I eat oatmeal is for the health benefits and because it is quick, easy and convenient to make.

It is a effortless breakfast option that provides gain for the whole family although I hear some families complain their children don’t like oatmeal.  I must admit, I disliked oatmeal and didn’t like the bland taste of oatmeal with water or milk. Today however, I control what I put into my oatmeal so that I can jazz it up with various ingredients.

I started to experiment with these options when my mother in law gave me a bowl of oatmeal and peaches for breakfast before I was married. Not wanting to be fussy or turning her food down which I know would be an insult, I ate the oatmeal. To my delight I absolutely enjoyed it because of the sweet peaches and peach syrup. From that day forward it was a my mission to experiment with oatmeal.

When you compare the costs of oats to your favorite Kelloggs cereal you can surely see how much money can be saved eating oatmeal for breakfast opposed to the store bought cereal.

Here is a frequent delicious oatmeal recipe I make regularly.
