A couple months ago I had the privilege to meet Christine Cushing the Food Network chef that hosts interactive cooking shows. I also had the privilege to be given a personally autographed copy of her cookbook Pure Food – an everyday cookbook to have fun in the kitchen. This week I’ve decided to pull it off the shelf for the first time and try out some of the recipes.
I also received Decembers’ issue of the Chatelaine Magazine filled with delicious Christmas recipes. This weeks menu plan is a combination of both these Christine Cushings’ Pure Food Cookbook and my favorite Canadian Magazine Chatelaine.

Cookies where delicious, a few more calories than I was hoping for. My sister-in-law has just been diagnosed with Celica disease so I thought these would be a treat for her!
I use to watch Christine on FoodNetwork all the time. She is a wonderful Chef. Those cookies look delicious. We make a similar cookies but it has flour. This recipe would be a great gluten free option!
