I was very lucky to be chosen as a blogger by the Food Bloggers of Canada for this Grill With Grace challenge.
I love heavy flavour when it comes to cooking but as a mom of 2 young kids it is challenging. I love the fact that Grace Foods has created many products that help busy moms get that nice flavour that tastes like it took all afternoon to cook and is easy and fast.

I used their Jerk Marinade in this Spicy Quesadilla recipe where you can use this as a marinade or during cooking for extra flavour.
Jerk refers to a traditional Jamaican method of seasoning and cooking meats and nowadays even seafood, vegetables or tofu. Rooted in ingredients from Jamaica’s fertile green landscape, jerk consists of an exotic blend of scallions, onions, scotch bonnet peppers, salt, thyme, allspice, black pepper and many other spices. Savoury, fragrant, and tenaciously spicy, jerk is a must have for that burst of flavour and a touch of heat.
The origins of jerk can be traced back to the 1700’s with the Maroons, a group of slaves who escaped and hid in the Blue Mountains of Jamaica. This group combined African meat cooking techniques with a mix of Jamaican spices and seasonings used by the Arawak to preserve and cook their meats. This evolved with the use of different spices to the cooking style that we know today as Jerk. Dare to venture and take your taste buds on a tour of the island.
Grace Jerk products all capture the genuine taste of jerk, by combining exotic Jamaican herbs and spices to create a delicious addition to your cooking experience. Adds a spicy Caribbean flavour to all meat, seafood and vegetables prepared on the barbecue or in the oven.
