Over the past year I’ve been reviewing some vegan cookbooks and each one seems to surprise me with more and more delicious and unique recipes. Who would of thought vegan food could be so creative and tasty.

Tomato Artichoke Pasta
Let them eat vegan cookbook offers a wide range of great dishes. As Dreena Burton author of the let them eat vegan cookbook says, “veganism has come a long way and no longer a dirty word.” There are some substitutes for eggs and dairy foods that allow you to indulge in ice cream and home baked goodies.
Each recipe that I’ve tried so far from “the let them eat vegan” cookbook has been tasty and delicious. I love to cook and I’m sick of making the same things, with this cook book it’s like learning to cook all over again.
The cook book offers a whole range of recipes from pancakes to burgers although you will only find vegan burgers in this cookbook. Did you know that vegan burgers don’t fall apart when cooking, or flax seeds can substitute eggs for baking…

Lentil Walnut Burgers
Over and over I keep hearing it costs more money to eat healthy, well if you think this way you should think again and do your research. Last time I checked whole-foods like beans, oats, greens were cheaper than a frozen packaged pizza.
If you are looking for a vegan cookbook consider “let them eat vegan cookbook.” It has over 200 tasty recipes to try. The only downfall to the books is the lack of photos to show these delicious dishes. On the bright side if you mess up you will not know because you have nothing to compare it too!
Now the giveaway, one lucky winner will have the chance to win a copy of the “Let the eat vegan” Cookbook.” One winner will be randomly selected July 17, 2012.

My current fave vegan food is sweet potato with avocado burger! yum!
anything Indian such as chana masala
My wife has a number of food allergies. Eating vegan avoids some of them. Now if only we could get a gluten-free vegan cookbook!
sweet potatos
Our meals very rarely include meat- especially red meat – I haven’t eaten it since early 1990s (but hubby & the kids will eat it). Of our “family” vegan meals – faves are veggie stir fry or steamed vegetables (asparagus, string beans, broccoli & sweet potatoes). It is difficult, however, when the kiddos have little friends over and steamed veggies aren’t their thing…. and they turn their noses up at lentil soup. :)
I am currently a vegetarian but would like to try more vegan meals.
I so want to win this book! One of my favorite vegan foods is sweet potatoes :-)
I like your comment about seeing the bright side of not having photos in the cookbook. :-) Photos are really helpful and also are great enticements to try a recipe but can be a bit discouraging when your food doesn’t turn out as beautifully as the photo.
Forgot to mention….my favorite vegan food is a big salad stuffed with all sorts of veggies.
All of them! I love vegan food…you know we just call it food though right?! Haha!
Like to make sundried tomato black bean burgers. My husband likes them too
Vegan Chocolate Chip cookies from Post Punk Kitchen…they make get-togethers much less intimidating!! :)
I am totally into trying a new way of eating. Meatless Mondays are a start. Raw food and eating vegan are in my sights.
Thanks for the chance to win this book!
I don’t have a favourite vegan food, but this cookbook would be a good way to shake up my cooking habits.
I love the vegan falafel wraps at a tiny little cafe in Banff, Alberta. I eat gluten free (allergy) and vegan (preference) and have loved all of the new, nutritious and delicious food I have had the priviledge of tasting since then.
I have tried very very little of it. My son is vegan and he made some ?marsala, sorry not quite sure what it was called but it was very good with homemade naan bread.
love earth balance buttery spread and enjoy life chocolate!
