Right away I wanted to check out the lunch containers. I am pretty picky when it comes to the containers I buy, usually picking out the “locking” style even though they cost more money. I like to be able to put anything in them including liquids for maximum use.
These containers are made of non toxic, food safe polypropylene (PP), BPA, PVC & phthalate free. This part was comforting to know. Always like to hear that the containers I give my kids won’t poison them.
With 3 compartments all different sizes, it was easy to pack a full lunch in one container for both of my kids. I easily crammed in a sandwich, fruit salad, and carrot sticks in to one box. Perfect amount for any elementary school aged child. My husband also liked this style container. He frequently likes to take tomato & cheese sandwiches to work. These containers allowed me to have one section for sliced cheese, one for sliced tomatoes & another for toasted bread. Normally I would have packed 3 containers for his two sandwiches, and this system allowed me to use only one keeping everything separate. (my husband is a picky person & hates soggy sandwiches. This is why he packs everything separately) PERFECT!
On another occasion, my daughter wanted a Caesar salad in her lunch. I would usually make a Caesar salad with all the dressing, croutons & cheese mixed together and packed in a single container. By the time lunch rolls around, the salad is now limp & not at its best quality. With the containers I was able to put enough lettuce in one section, and keep the dressing & croutons separate so that she could assemble the salad herself at school. She LOVED it!
Now…as for the lids. Like I mentioned before, I prefer the “Locking” style lids. Lids popping off in back packs, spilling & making messes is a large pet peeve of mine that I try to avoid at all costs. These lids are strong & stayed on the containers. There was no spilling of food in back packs! My kids, ages 5 & 8, were fully capable of taking the lids off on their own and put them back on with no problems.

Lunch Punch Sandwich cutters are fantastic! I don’t normally cut my kids sandwiches into shapes simply because of the waste of food involved, but these were different. Each sandwich cutter is designed to use virtually all of the bread excluding the crusts (my kids don’t eat the crust anyways, so no biggie). The design & shapes made eating the average sandwich into a fun conversation piece that any child would love. Highly recommend these little gadgets.
The mini spoon that I was given for using with the Jello pudding packs was great, but something that I am sure will get lost at school. A spoon is a spoon in my eyes. This is not something that I would pay extra for just because it is cute.
The lunch bag that came with my package was just the perfect size for one of these containers, a water bottle & recess snacks.
All in all, I give this lunch box set up a 9/10 and only because the containers are not guaranteed leak proof & are not for liquids (I still prefer locking lids).
The mini pop-up MP3 Speaker that I received was cute, and attachments fit my computer & android cell phone. Very small & portable, can easily fit into a pocket or purse. The volume was definitely loud enough for everyone to comfortably listen. This device seemed great until I blew the speaker on the first try. *When using this device, make sure the electronics you are hooking up to it are on LOW volume then gradually increase volume when playing music or media. It does not state this on the packaging instructions. I would have loved using this especially on road trips with the kids or at the ski hill during lunch. Oh well…Live & Learn.
