Talk about the perfect fall snack. I don’t know what it is about this time of year but this year I REALLY like cookies. My friends love Oreos or Mr. Christies but I love an old fashioned home baked cookie. I am not talking an underbaked cookie that is 500 calories at a coffee shop.
Grocery Alerts reviewed New Moon Kitchen cookies and received several samples. I was surprised that they had so many SKUs but they were all quite great.

What’s So Special About their Cookies?
100% Organic Spelt Flour
Spelt has a low glycemic index, and is found to be much easier to digest by people with wheat sensitivities. I honestly could not taste the difference – but they did seem to be easy on the stomach.
Dairy & Egg Free
These cookies can be enjoyed by people who are lactose intolerant or allergic to eggs.
Peanut & Nut Free
They guarantee that none of their products have come into contact with nut products of any kind. This is nice to see from a smaller company that they can make this assurance.
No Preservatives
These cookies were as close to homemade as it gets.
Trans-Fat Free
They use pure sunflower oil in our products for a clean taste, and a healthier cookie.
I was really impressed with the packaging and the fresh look this company brings. Their website is http://www.newmoonkitchen.com/.
The list of store locations is http://www.newmoonkitchen.com/where-to-buy/. They seem to be located at many health food retailers like the Healthy Butcher.
Maybe they will start to make brownies next?
