I’m always pleased when one of my favourite brands introduces a new product with fewer calories. It also tells me they listen to their consumers. Today more and more people are watching what they eat, concerned about their health and weight so when Kellogg’s released their new cracker chip I was impressed.
Kellogg’s Special K recently sent me their 3 new flavoured cracker chips to sample, original season with sea-salt, cheddar, sour cream and onion. It’s a great way to satisfy a savory craving without the guilt. They are low in calories, with a light texture, crunchy and are a blend of potato and rice.
The healthy low calorie snack is tran-fat free and low in saturated fat with no artificial flavours or colours.
Each box contains 113g, and can be found at all major grocery store retailers across Canada. They retail for $2.99 per box.
I’ve never came across any chip that was this low in calories. I can now keep these in my cupboard just in case I get cravings for chips that I need to satisfy. The only downfall to the new product is the packaging. Why use cardboard box, save some trees. It would be better for the environment if they were packaged in the chip bag they come in – inside the box.
Now for the giveaway, our friends at Kellogg’s has graciously offered to giveaway the 3 sampler pack of each flavour cracker chips – Original, Cheddar, and Sour Cream and Onion. One winner will be randomly selected June 17, 2012.
