We had the delight to interview Canadian contest winner, Erika Komori. She has won over $40,000 from contests in Canada.
She blogs at Free and Fabulous Life.
As an unemployed MBA Graduate, I was on a tight budget but didn’t want to be spending each weekend sitting at home. Upon reading about a person who had won a BBQ package in the local newspaper, I decided that it would be a great idea to win my entertainment and cut back on expenses. Over 400 contest wins later, it’s still a fantastic way to save money and experience all that your local city has to offer!
I’ve enjoyed my time during all of the trips I’ve won thus far (Cuba, LA, Mexico, and Bahamas). However, I have to admit the opportunity to be a model at Toronto Fashion Week was a unique prize! Along with professional modeling training, I had the full VIP treatment with my hair, makeup and nails done by stylists. There was even a personal dresser! With over 1000 people in the audience, it was the most nerve-wracking 30 seconds of my life but it was truly a memorable day!
Google Chrome has an Autofill option which will quickly complete an entry form. RoboForm is also widely used by experienced contesters. Yet, take the time to read the rules and regulations. It is occasionally listed that an automated entry form will disqualify you from the giveaway.
By searching “Contests Canada” you can find a number of forums.
Of course, a local contest would have even better odds so you can change your criteria based on where you live. For instance, “Contests Vancouver”.
After impressing friends and family with my adventures through contesting, I did create a blog:
We would like to thank Erika with her great tips and tricks to help our readers enter contests easier!
On a personal note, we love to enter contests and host them. Stay tuned to some upcoming contests and giveaways on our blog.
