Bananas
Bananas have been around forever. Scientists have proven that bananas have grown on Earth for over 1 million years. Bananas are a good source of Vitamin C, potassium and dietary fiber…
Pineapple
The pineapple is not a single fruit, but a “sorosis.” That means the fruit of a hundred or more separate flowers grow on the plant spike. As they grow, they swell with juice and pulp, expanding to become the fruit…
Honeydew
Don’t be fooled by a Honeydew’s pale rind, because its green flesh is actually one of the sweetest of all melons when ripe…
Grapes
Grapes are high in Vitamin C and Vitamin K and low in Saturated Fat, Cholesterol and Sodium. The grape is one of the oldest fruits to be cultivated going back as far as biblical times…
Cantaloupe
Half a cantaloupe will meet your daily requirement for both Vitamins A and C, as well as valuable minerals such as folic acid and potassium. Cantaloupe has no fat or cholesterol and provides fiber in the diet…

Tomatoes
Tomatoes are actually a fruit, not a vegetable. The Aztecs were the first know cultivators of tomatoes. Tomatoes are high in Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Calcium, Potassium and Lycopene, an inhibitor to heart disease, as well as lung, cervical, breast and prostate cancer…

My son’s favorite fruit are bananas. He LOVES bananas, and must have one every day! I’m posting about my son because I actually can’t stand eating fresh bananas – they give me the “willies” because of their texture (feels like trying to eat cotton balls!) I do, however, LOVE banana bread. If I win this GC….I’ll be buying bananas, just not for me!

Like many, pineapple is a favorite and I only acquired a taste for it in my adult life. I wanted to find out some info so I discovered from Wikipedia that the pineapple being a herbaceous plant grows to a height of about 3 and half feet to almost 5 feet tall. Living in Canada and never seeing a pineapple plant, I was always under the impression it was a tall tree with pineapples growing up at the top like a banana tree.
My daughter loves cantaloupe. It is good to see that it provides so many nutrients.

My favorite fruit is something called the Rollinea. I don’t know if I am spelling that right! It’s a fruit with large black seeds that I spoon out because they are nasty and inedible. But the flesh inside is like custard!!! mmm so yummy!! It’s a tropical fruit – it grows here in Hawaii, but I don’t know where it is native to.
mandarin oranges
I like blueberries they are sweet and full of anti-oxidants. I enjoy bananas as well, i like to make peanutbutter and banana sandwiches. I sure could use this am using foodbanks as I am on assistance.

Pomegranates. It’s very juicy, but takes patience to eat. As well, juice is very staining to skin and clothes. Love it, even with the few drawbacks.
My favorite fruit is Honey Dew Melon, so fresh and sweet!!!!!
I love all fruits but I’d have to say that my favorite is the apple. Apple pie, apple cobbler, apple sauce … even juice … and, of course, just a raw apple. I grew up in Washington state where apples are plentiful. We always had apples around for quick snacks. There’s nothing better than a cold, juicy apple. There’s a reason that an apple a day keeps the doctor away … they are really healthy. But health aside, they transport me back home … to being a kid and biting into a sweet Red Delicious!

My favorite fruit is Honeydew melon. I love the taste.
Oooh this is tough but I would have to say those Chinese mandarin oranges that are so popular this time of year! Orange you going to ask why? Well they are so easy to peel and eat anywhere. A great and fun snack to throw in my daughter’s lunch that she will actually eat, and I like to throw a few in my purse to eat while out Christmas shopping. They are sweet and delicious, and a great way to get vitamin C in my diet during cold and flu season!
My favorite fruit is the nectarine. They’re sweet and portable.
My favorite fruit is the lemon. It’s high in vitamin C. You can drink it, eat it…as in add it to savory dishes and make amazing lemon desserts. My favourite dessert is the old fashioned lemon sponge custard, which is inexpensive and tastes wonderful…a spoonful of summer! The lowly lemon is also used as a cleaner that removes stains. And apparently when lemon is applied to the skin it helps prevent sunburn. Lemon also helps flush toxins and bacteria from the body.
My favourite fruit is the papaya because it is so juicy and sweet – and full of vitamins.
