Before you start to plan this summer’s Canada’s Wonderland vacation, I wanted to share some suggestions on how to make sure that you save money at Canada’s Wonderland this summer.

I remember going to Canada’s Wonderland in Grade 8 for the first time- it was so much fun!

1. Book online and save.

If you buy your ticket online for a Single Day Adult it would cost $39.99 versus $57.99 at the gate saving you $17. One thing to remember is that these are three-day advance tickets (so make sure you are positive you are going).

2. Sign up for their FUNTIMES E-NEWSLETTER.

Register for their free park mailing list to receive information about park promotions, events and activities that interest you!

3. Flash your Air Miles Card.

Did you know if you just show your Air Miles card at the gate that you will pay only $40.99 plus tax?

Or you can use redeem 350 Air Miles for free admission.

4. Look at an annual pass.

Like most amusement parks, a season pass will pay for itself in a few visits. The Wonderland Season Pass costs $84.99 so if you were to go at least three times during the season it would be paid off.

With a Season Pass, you’ll have unlimited admission to Canada’s Wonderland and Splash Works all summer long.

A Season Pass Includes:

  • Exclusive Early Ride Times
  • 2012 Early Ride Times Schedule.
  • Food and Merchandise Discounts (Season Pass holders receive an exclusive discount of 15% off food and merchandise throughout the Park)
  • Exclusive Ticket Discounts (Bring-A-Friend Days with savings over 50% off Front Gate.)
  • Halloween Haunt Discount Tickets

Remember that you can receive full credit on your admission towards the purchase of a season pass. Upgrading your admission towards a season pass must be done during the day of your visit.

5. Did you know they have a Military discount?

Canada’s Wonderland offers a discount off the regular Front Gate admission price to active members of the military. This discount is available only at the park and is valid for up to six (6) family members. A valid military ID must be presented to receive this offer.

6. Check out the non-rider admission ticket.

If you are not going to go on any of the rides they offer a grounds only admission pass. This pass can only be purchased at Front gate and is not available online.

7. Use a Corporate Code online.

Corporate codes are codes you can use to purchase discounted tickets online. The codes are for the workers, friends and family of the  company/corporation/school/etc.

In saying that anyone cause the corporate codes. No one will ask for your identification for entry. This only works for tickets that are purchased online.

To use a corporate code on the Canada’s Wonderland website, visit http://www.canadaswonderland.com/tickets/. Click on the green header titled PROMO CODE and enter your code!

One thing to remember is that there is a $5 Service charge to purchase your tickets online!

For example: online, a regular 3-day advance adult ticket is $39.99, but if you use the promo code ICOKE you can get it for $35.40 (gate price is $57.99).

For these codes you may have to go to a login page and enter the username and password!

8. At Mac’s convenience stores they sell cheap tickets.

At a discount of 25% off the regular price, they sell for $43.99 + taxes (I still recommend buying online).

9. Check their Facebook page.

They have weekly perks – with printable coupons for discounts at the sweet shop or café.

Here is a recent example:

10. Check out your Costco Discounts.

If you have a Costco card or have a friend that has one, you can order online a pass for $37.99.  This is not a bad deal.

If you live in the GTA, in the Costco stores they have family packs (for 4) for around $160.

What ways do you have to save money at theme parks, especially Canada’s Wonderland?
